The diocese’s Congregational Business Consultants will offer workshops on business practices and parish audits at several locations on these upcoming Saturdays, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.: Feb. 28 at Trinity Church (131 West Emerson Street) in Melrose; March 21 at the Parish of St. Paul (1135 Walnut Street) in Newton Highlands; and March 28 at St. Mary’s Church (3055 Main Street) in Barnstable. The workshops are aimed at treasurers, especially new ones, but will be of interest to all clergy and lay members with church business responsibilities, including wardens and other vestry members.

Join the Episcopal Church’s presiding bishop, the Most Rev. Katharine Jefferts Schori, at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul (138 Tremont Street) in Boston on Saturday, Feb. 28, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., to commemorate and celebrate the 20th anniversary of the consecration of the Rt. Rev. Barbara C. Harris as the first female bishop in the Anglican Communion.
Each month, Bethany House of Prayer offers a half day of quiet and hospitality for individuals and groups. The day begins with an opening meditation from area leaders and colleagues. Individual time for prayer or study follows, with an opportunity for shared reflection, worship and a meal. Rooms can be reserved for a colleagues group or staff to gather in the morning or afternoon.

The Charles River Deanery Youth Collaborative is sponsoring a series of events to raise hunger awareness among middle-school-age kids (11-13) and to help kids spur adults to action.
