What does it take to follow Jesus and welcome neighbors to forge loving, life-giving and liberating relationships with God and each other? This retreat will begin by sharing stories of following Jesus and the spiritual practices that draw us closer to the heart of Christ and the world. The retreat will then explore an Anglican approach to the practices of evangelism (growing relationships with God) and reconciliation (growing relationships with “the other”).

Retreat leader is the Rev. Canon Stephanie Spellers, the presiding bishop’s canon for evangelism and reconciliation, spearheading churchwide efforts to share the good news of God’s radical love with new communities in new ways. A former chaplain to the House of Bishops and founder of the emergent-church ministry The Crossing at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul in Boston, she is the author of Radical Welcome and The Episcopal Way, Volume 1, in the New Church’s Teachings for a Changing World series (with Eric Law).
