“On the Authentic Life,” a five-part film series, is underway at All Saints Parish (1773 Beacon Street) in Brookline. It takes place on the last Friday of each month through May, 7-10 p.m.: Feb. 24 (“Far From Heaven”); March 30 (“Transamerica”); April 27 (“Batman Begins”); and May 25 (“The Secret Life of Bees”). Each of the films depicts characters who are conflicted about who they are, or who they want to be or even who they used to be. As they struggle to find a core identity, each one is on a pilgrimage toward a place, or a way of being, or a community that feels like home. The series is being hosted by the parish’s young adults, but adults of any age are invited to share in a potluck dinner, to watch the film and to be part of the conversation afterwards. For more specific information see the attached PDF brochure or contact the church at 617-738-1810 or see www.allsaintsbrookline.org.
