The North American Association for the Diaconate, along with the Episcopal dioceses of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Vermont, will sponsor “Interpret the Church:  Communicating the World and the Word,” a conference for deacons, deacons in formation and supporters of diaconal ministries, to take place Friday Oct. 1-Sunday, Oct. 3 at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel (1657 Worcester Road) in Framingham.

The conference will help participants explore effective diaconal ministry in a changing church and world, develop new communication and storytelling skills, understand how to use social networking technologies in ministry, learn about ministry projects in Province 1 (the New England dioceses) and develop and nurture relationships with colleagues in ministry.

Cost is $200 plus hotel accommodations.
