Bishop Bud Cederholm encourages the congregations of the diocese to join in observing Oct. 3, the Sunday closest to the feast of St. Francis, as “Creation Care Sunday.”  He asks congregations to consider holding a “Blessing of the Animals” or other creation-themed liturgy and to take up a collection in support of the new diocesan Green Grants Initiative.
