The Charles River Deanery Youth Collaborative is sponsoring a series of events to raise hunger awareness among middle-school-age kids (11-13) and to help kids spur adults to action.

The events for this year are:

• Nov. 23, 2008: Pie-making party, 4-6 p.m. at All Saints Parish, Brookline
• Mar. 7, 2009: Work day at the Heifer Learning Center at Overlook Farm, all day, Rutland, MA
• Apr. 10, 2009: Good Friday Last Supper and stations of the cross, 10 a.m.-12 p.m., Grace Church, Newton
• May 3, 2009: Walk for Hunger, overnight retreat with early morning Eucharist
