Shake off the winter doldrums at Family Day, Saturday, Feb. 11, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., and help the Cathedral Church of St. Paul (138 Tremont Street) in Boston start the celebration of its 100th year. Children, youth, parents and educators are invited to join the fun and educational activities, including:
* Conversation and photos with Bishop Tom Shaw and Bishop Barbara Harris (on the anniversary of her historic 1989 consecration): 10-10:30 a.m.
* Crafts and fun activities for children (preschool and older)
* Dean's discussion time with teens
* Introduction to "The Abundant Life Garden" children's program by Episcopal Relief and Development, for educators, parents and kids: 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
* Songs and prayers for the cathedral, and lots more, including birthday cake
Come for part or all of the day. Small children are welcome with caretakers, but no childcare will be available. Snacks and coffee will be available in the morning, and a light snack lunch--or bring your own.
This event is free and no registration is required, but knowing that you are coming will help with planning. RSVP to Ethel Crawford at cathedral [at] diomass [dot] org or 617-482-5800, ext. 221.
