The Church of the Holy Spirit's second annual Pilgrimage Walk will be a journey inward and outward featuring three unique segments over a concentrated period around the parish's labyrinth.

Through a labyrinth service with a linear walk, led by the Rev. Anne Koehler, participants will be encouraged to perceive themselves as spiritual beings taking the next steps in their spiritual growth, and will be encouraged to explore their desire for a deeper and more profound connection to God, their inner selves and each other.

Following an interlude, participants will explore echoes of the Celtic past of the labyrinth.  The Rev. William Heuss will present an informed commentary on the symbol of the high cross as he discusses a discovery pilgrimage he made in Scotland, Wales and England.  Following his talk, participants will take a traditional labyrinth walk accompanied by music in the Celtic style selected by Darlene T. Hagon, Director of Music.

After an interlude of silent reflection, 12 meditation points on the 11-circuit labyrinth will be presented.  Dr. Margaret Rappaport will highlight the tradition of standing at these intersections in quiet contemplation, followed by closing prayer.

All are welcome.
