Church of the Holy Spirit's monthly guided walks on the second Friday of each month continue in August with the theme “Kindness.”  The group will gather in the center of the labyrinth in the parish hall for opening reflections with Rev. Anne Koehler at 10:00 a.m.

Before the walk, a short commentary focusing on the nature of kindness and its importance for personal growth will be presented by Dr. Margaret Rappaport, a Veriditas-certified labyrinth facilitator.  She will explore the lessons to be learned from the 41 synonyms and the 14 antonyms for “kindness” in English.

Director of music Darlene T. Hagon will offer meditative music during the walk to enhance awareness of the theme.

As usual the church's medieval Chartres-style labyrinth will be candlelit and arrayed to strengthen the meditative experience.  All are welcome--those not walking the labyrinth are welcome to come sit quietly, pray and meditate.

Closing prayer and comments will conclude the walk.
