This program, "For Love is Strong as Death," will include works by Brahms, Britten, Hovhaness, Lauridsen and Monteverdi, and marks the closing of the Cambridge campus of Episcopal Divinity School. It celebrates the grace of love that transcends boundaries and abides through change. The widely varied repertoire invites listening for the echoes of what has been and attuning to what we most long for and do not yet see, fully present in the miraculous, unique and irreplaceable moment-by-moment of now. Ellen Oak will conduct the chamber ensemble of amateurs and professionals. Yevgenia Semeina will accompany. The audience will be asked to join in the singing at several points. The venue is the visually and acoustically gorgeous Saint John’s Chapel on the EDS campus, 99 Brattle Street, Cambridge. Admission is free and all are welcome. Free parking is available on campus.
