Once again the second Sunday in June (the Sunday closest to the observance of Ephrem the Syrian, Deacon) will be observed in the diocese as “Sunday of the Diaconate”—this year as a diaconal outreach day on June 9. Deacons are offering the opportunity to join them in one of their diaconal outreach activities. For example, there will be a chance to join The Ven. Pat Zifcak, Archdeacon, on June 9 at the Cambridge Outdoor Church, an outreach ministry to people experiencing homelessness. Other opportunities will be offered as well.
