The parish of St. John’s, Newtonville seeks an energetic individual to provide support for the Christian education of children, and general coordination of parish communication vehicles.  Candidate must be skilled in organization and communications and have strong interpersonal skills, as well as a firm grounding in Christian traditions.  The position is 15 hours per week during September through June, including Sunday mornings as well as some Sunday evenings.  Specific responsibilities include: support for the Church School (scheduling, planning, special events, mentoring and supporting teachers, coordinate with teachers and parents, recruitment of new teachers); develop new education programs for youth and families; communicate with youth, families, and congregation through parish publications, website, email, phone calls; parish liaison to joint confirmation program and to the Charles River Deanery Youth Collaborative; outreach to attract and welcome new families to the parish; develop content and improvements to parish website and Facebook page, parish mail and email list management.  Please send resume and cover letter to: The Rev.
