This year’s Advent Lessons and Carols service is based on the ancient Gregorian chant settings entitled, “The Great O Antiphons,” most familiarly known in the Advent hymn, “O Come, O Come Emmanuel,” which will be sung by the congregation at the conclusion of the service. 

Church of the Advent is Boston is offering an organ recital by Michael Kleinschmidt, followed by Advent lessons and carols with the choir of Church of the Advent, Mark Dwyer, conductor, and Ross Wood, organist.

St. Andrew's Church in Wellesley presents an Advent U2charist. All are welcome to come celebrate the United Nation's Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and experience the inspirational music of U2 at this special service.

The MDGs are a global statement of principle and a personal call to action, a set of eight internationally recognized goals that aim to alleviate extreme global poverty through building more relationships among the countries and peoples of the world.
