Bethany House of Prayer presents Noticing, Witnessing, Wondering, a winter creativity workshop led by poet, artist and spiritual director Kimberly Cloutier Green. Participants, writing in a quiet, supportive and camaraderie-filled environment, will explore poem-making as an act of reverence for the natural world as an expression of God.

Registration is required; the suggested fee is $30. Participants are asked to bring a journal.

Ecclesia Ministries common cathedral and its partners in the Doorbell Ministry for the homeless present a kick-off conference on welcoming the newly housed into the larger community. The keynote speaker is Kip Tiernan, founder of Rosie's Place and the Greater Boston Food Bank.

The orchestra and chorus of Emmanuel Music, led by Michael Beattie, associate conductor, perform the St. John Passion on Saturday, March 8 at 8 p.m. at Emmanuel Church in Boston.

The concert will be preceded at 7 p.m. by a discussion of the piece with John Harbison, acting artistic director of Emmanuel Music, Rabbi David Kudan and Charles Blandy.
