Students from all over the diocese will be gathering at the Barbara C. Harris Camp and Conference Center in New Hampshire to enjoy great games, live music, engaging sessions, really good food and great people. Any students in grades 9-12 are welcome. Clergy and lay leaders from small churches are invited to join with one another for a Small Church Summit on Saturday, Feb. 9, beginning at 9 a.m., at St. Mark’s Church in Burlington. The gathering will be an occasion to share joys and challenges and discover assets and resources and what participants might be able to offer to one another, as well as to explore the benefits of collaborative partnering and to talk about new paradigms for ordained and lay leadership. Bethany House of Prayer presents Noticing, Witnessing, Wondering, a winter creativity workshop led by poet, artist and spiritual director Kimberly Cloutier Green. Participants, writing in a quiet, supportive and camaraderie-filled environment, will explore poem-making as an act of reverence for the natural world as an expression of God.
