Even before an emergency warming shelter was added to plans for a new council on aging building, members of St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church were planning to establish a shelter of their own.
Funding for the COA building was defeated at the Sept. 18 special town meeting, but on a recent Sunday parishioners got a preview of how a shelter will operate at the Main Street church during an open house after worship services.
