The annual picnic and gathering for clergy families, especially those with young children, takes place on Saturday, June 12, 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m., at the Bethany House of Prayer (181 Appleton Street) in Arlington.  Clergy families are invited to welcome summer, enjoy connections, have a cook-out and time for play and ease with other families.  Registration should be made by June 8 by contacting Bethany House of Prayer at 781-648-2433 or info [at] BethanyHouseArlington [dot] org.

Christ Church (33 Central Street) in Andover will offer Choral Evensong on Sunday, May 2, 5 p.m., featuring the parish choir singing Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis by George Dyson, and Motet:  Schaffe in mir, Gott, Op. 29, No. 2 by Johannes Brahms (a beautiful setting of Psalm 51:11-13).  A reception follows in the parish hall.

The Episcopal Church's disciplinary canons (Title IV) were revised by General Convention last summer, and the changes have implications for diocesan canons.  An open meeting to discuss the changes and related issues will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 9 a.m.-12 p.m., at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul (138 Tremont Street) in Boston.  All are welcome.

Gather with families of all kinds for the Diocese of Massachusetts’ annual Family Camp, Thursday, June 24-Sunday, June 27 at the Barbara C. Harris Camp and Conference Center in Greenfield, N.H.  This year’s theme is “’Friended’ by God:  Family Life in God’s Community.”

Come together to enjoy God’s creation, summer camp activities, shared meals and time for learning together and worshiping God in the beauty of New Hampshire’s mountains.

The Massachusetts Chapter of the Union of Black Episcopalians (UBE) is sponsoring a Boston Harbor cruise, to benefit the Dr. Reginald Benn Scholarship Fund, on Saturday, June 5.  Boarding begins at 11:30 a.m. at Commonwealth Pier (200 Seaport Boulevard) in Boston.  The cruise departs promptly at noon, returning at 2 p.m.

Bus transportation to the wharf will be available from St. John St. James Church (149 Roxbury Street) in Roxbury, leaving promptly at 10:30 a.m.

Cost is $80 per person, which includes a lobster luncheon and entertainment.

The Church of Our Redeemer (6 Meriam Street) in Lexington and the Massachusetts Guild of the Good Shepherd will host a free morning workshop on Saturday, May 1, 9 a.m.-12 p.m., for people interested in learning more about the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd spiritual formation program for children ages 3-12.

“What is the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd?” will offer a chance to come and see what this Montessori-based way of introducing children to the Christian faith looks like, and its potential to work in any size church, with any size budget.

Outdoor Spring Clean-Up at St. Margaret's Convent (17 Highland Park Street) in Boston takes place on Saturday, April 10, 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m.  Raking and other necessary yard work will be the task at hand, with lunch provided at 12:30 p.m.  Please let the sisters know that you'll be coming by April 5.
