Youth Ministry in the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts
Welcome!
We are here to support the young people of the Diocese of Massachusetts and the Episcopal Church through formation, fellowship and resource sharing. Our mission not only extends to Episcopal youth, but also to their mentors, families, congregations and communities. Our seeking of God in Christ is impossible without the energy and creativity of the young people in our parish families, and our goal is to support those who support and love the young people around them. We believe in the sacred witness of the transforming power of this love, and the hope which surrounds all of our children and youth.
What does the Office for Youth Ministry do?
We provide fellowship gatherings four times a year for youth (Jr. High, High School and Pre-Confirmation Retreats). We run the Diocesan Youth Council, the youth body from all over the diocese that represents youth at Diocesan Convention and runs the youth retreats. We provide training and support for parishes and individuals who work with youth. We offer a 14-month Youth Leadership Academy for rising 9th and 10th graders during the school year. We support and run programs through the Barbara C. Harris Camp and Conference Center in Greenfield, N.H., every summer.
