The Rev. Rob Bacon, director of youth ministries, led a group of 30 youth and 10 adults from eighteen parishes in the Diocese to Biloxi, MS, April 17-23. In Rob’s words: “We had a truly marvelous mission trip to Biloxi, MS. It was a huge success at every level. We had a blast. We worked hard and accomplished many good tasks. We bonded deeply with the good people of Camp Biloxi, Good Shepherd, and Redeemer as we were all transformed together by the powerful presence and movement of God’s Spirit. It was an awesome trip. We worked on houses of 6 Redeemer parishioners and we did a lot of work at the church. We broke bread, worshipped, and played with the folks at Redeemer, Biloxi on two evenings, and we also had the youth group from Redeemer, Mobile, AL come over to Biloxi to serve us dinner and spend an evening with us in fellowship and song. The trip surpassed all of our hopes and expectations. The kids are on fire, and we want to go back.”
