"Transforming Congregations Together": Regional Learning Days are underway

Instead of the annual diocesan Spring Learning Event in March, there will be five Regional Learning Days held in various locations around the diocese, beginning Jan. 12.

The diocese's ongoing $20-million Together Now campaign is making more resources available to congregations for mission, ministry and partnerships.  The Regional Learning Days are intended to help congregations begin to access and use these new resources.

Each Learning Day program will include a plenary session with either Bishop M. Thomas Shaw, SSJE or Bishop Gayle E. Harris, and workshops on initiatives being funded by the campaign, including:  how congregations can participate in collaborative ministry with one another through mission hubs, and how they can develop their leadership capacity through the Mission Institute being formed as a joint venture between the diocese, Episcopal Divinity School and Episcopal City Mission.  There will also be sessions on how to apply for matching funds for global mission projects through the campaign's mission tithe and "green" grants through the campaign's Creation Care Initiative.

Regional Learning Days take place on the following Saturdays, 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.  Click on the dates below for more information and to register.
