For three decades, Wilberta Davis has taken part in the festive atmosphere around the Open Door community meal. She said she likes the music, singing and just being with other people.  The free meal on Thursdays in Sherrill Hall at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, she said, is not just for people who cannot afford a meal.  "It's for people who want to be with other people," Davis said. "I've been going there all these years and I enjoy it."  Open Door is celebrating 30 years of providing a weekly free community meal. The initiative, which started with a handful of people, now involves local churches and other organizations.
