A message from the dean:

Friends,

I am excited to invite you to another important celebration of our renovated Cathedral Church of St. Paul, the dedication of a stained glass window for our new Chapel of St. John the Evangelist.

You may know that our former bishop, M. Thomas Shaw, SSJE, wanted our cathedral to have a chapel, a beautiful, sacred space set aside for people who wished to come in and pray.  This chapel fulfills his dream.

On Sunday afternoon, Feb. 21 at 5:15, Bishop Gates will bless and dedicate the brand new stained glass window, which is the final element for the new chapel.  A reception will follow the blessing and dedication, allowing an opportunity to talk with one another, with Bishop Gates and the cathedral staff, and to meet Andrew Young, whose studio designed and crafted the window.  People will also have a chance to find their parish tile in our new floor if they haven’t already done so.

I hope you are able to join us.  Please invite anyone else you think would enjoy this occasion.

In faith and gratitude,

The Very Rev. Jep Streit
Dean, Cathedral Church of St. Paul
