If your parish has or is interested in having a mission partnership with a church or group outside of the Diocese of Massachusetts, this workshop is for you! The workshop will discuss how best to form and sustain relationships with partners by understanding the history and culture of their particular context. Hear the stories and learn from the experiences of Episcopalians involved in global mission, including Alan Yarborough, Communications Coordinator and Office Manager for the Episcopal Church Office of Government Relations, and Natalie Finstad, Interim Director of the Leadership Development Initiative.
Participants will listen to a panel discussion in the morning, followed by a question-and-answer session. After a break for lunch, participants will gather in groups to discuss the morning’s activity in the context of specific regions around the world.
Lunch will be served; a $5 fee is requested to cover costs. RSVP to Haiti Network organizer Leo Ryan at firstname.lastname@example.org or the Rev. Holly Hartman, Deacon for Global Mission Partnerships, at email@example.com. You do not need to be an active participant in a diocesan global mission network to attend.
