The Massachusetts Episcopal Network for the Poor People's Campaign will host this online discussion about the book Poverty, by America by Matthew Desmond. Poverty is the fourth leading cause of death in the United States, a fact that the Poor People's Campaign is publicizing in order to address policy choices that foster this preventable situation.
Although reading the book is encouraged, it is not required. Anyone who wants to learn more about the causes of poverty and the Poor People's Campaign is welcome to attend.
