Bishop M. Thomas Shaw, SSJE invites Episcopalians to join him for the Mother's Day Walk for Peace, a pledge walk to benefit the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute. The effort is part of antiviolence work that the Diocese of Massachusetts is undertaking this year as part of its B-PEACE for Jorge Campaign.
Partipicants walking with Bishop Shaw are asked to register on the walk site, here, and sign up as a team member of the B-PEACE for Jorge Campaign (click "Register"; sign up as a "Team Participant"; at the bottom of the form, use the drop-down menu to choose the "B-PEACE for Jorge Campaign" team. The team drop-down menu is next to the line: "Credit this event registration to this team or individual").
Registration is free; however, participants are encouraged to set personal fundraising goals. Organizers are asking for $100 in pledges per walker.

Walk route: The walk route stretches approximately 3.6 miles from Town Field Park in Fields Corner through Codman Square and ending back at Town Field Park -- all in Dorchester, MA.
Those walking with the B-PEACE for Jorge team plan to celebrate Holy Eucharist together with Bishop Shaw after the walk.
