Organ Concert

St. Micheal's Church in Marblehead (www.stmichaels1714.org) will present an organ concert featuring Carson Cooman on Sunday, April 21 at 5 p.m.

Carson Cooman is an American composer and organist and since 2006 has held the position of composer in residence at the Memorial Church, Harvard University. As an organ recitalist, Cooman specializes in the performance of contemporary music. Over 300 new compositions by more than 100 international composers have been written for him. His program at St. Michael's will feature works by Karen Beaumont, Katia Farn and Thomas Åberg, as well as Carlotta Ferrari's "Il catalogo di ragni"--a set of musical sketches depicting Italian spiders.
