Part of "Courageous Conversations Towards Racial Justice"--a monthly series of dialogue-centered initiatives on racism and privilege in Milton and Mattapan designed to address racial healing, equity and justice--"The Roots and Fruits of Protest Music" on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 7-9 p.m., will be hosted by St. Michael's Church (112 Randolph Avenue) in Milton.

Dr. Dennis Slaughter will explain the history of protest songs and how they have been used in America through presentation and music. Join for an interactive evening where members of the audience are invited to listen to and participate in protest songs.
