Special Events Coordinator

Cathedral  Church of St. Paul, Boston, MA

Position Description: Part-time 18 hours per week. The person in the position will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of events coordination for external groups.  These responsibilities include marketing, communications, signage, equipment requests, public safety and post-event feedback.  The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships.


  • Maintain contact lists
  • Site marketing
  • Book venues for external groups
  • Gather event details
  • Communications regarding events
  • Registration process
  • Payments
  • Post-event feedback
  • On-site support during events
  • Audio-video set-up
  • Room set-up details
  • Work collaboratively with the sextons on duty
  • Ensure all required paperwork are in order

Basic Qualification:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Google Docs
  • Social media platforms
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Respect for Religious communities
  • Available to work some evenings and weekends
