Video: Opening Plenary by the Rev. Kathleen Adams-Shepherd of Newtown, Conn.

Our B-PEACE Resource Day on Sept. 28, 2013, drew more than 300 eastern Massachusetts Episcopalians for workshops and inspiration to work against violence and be peacemakers in our churches, schools, families and communities.  The Rev. Kathleen Adams-Shepherd, Rector of Trinity Episcopal Church in Newtown, Conn., gave this plenary speech about her community's experience in the aftermath of the Dec. 14, 2012, Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings, and how the experience has been a call to be a "witness, presence and hope" with others in the year since.
