Episcopal Relief & Development provides coronavirus response guidelines

With the emergence and spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), updated guidelines from Episcopal Relief & Development's U.S. Disaster Program are a recommended and helpful resource for congregations and ministries as they seek to make a conscientious and measured response.

The guidelines include general information about the disease itself and precautions related to individual prevention and liturgical practices, as well as material formatted for church bulletins, bulletin boards and social media.

They are consistent with the reasonable precautions that are advised every year during flu season.  Find the guidelines here.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's monitoring of coronavirus disease's potential as a public health threat in the U.S. is a reminder to be proactive about creating and reviewing preparedness plans.  Preparedness planning resources are available from Episcopal Relief & Development here and from the CDC here.
