The Office of the Bishop has issued the following pastoral announcement:

Dear Friends and Colleagues,
We are saddened to inform you of the death of the Rev. Peter L. “Pete” Jeffrey in Wilmington, Massachusetts, on June 7, 2025. Pete was ordained as a deacon in 2012 and served both St. Anne’s and St. John’s churches in Lowell from 2013 until 2015. He then served at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Reading from 2015 until 2023.
Visiting hours will be held Friday, June 20 from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the Douglass, Edgerley, and Bessom Funeral Home in Reading, Massachusetts. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne’s Church in North Billerica, Massachusetts. Clergy are invited to vest and process (white stoles).
May the soul of God’s faithful servant departed rest in peace and may light perpetual shine upon him.
