St. James’s Church in Amesbury reaches out

11/22/10:  The people of St. James’s Church in Amesbury this week sent three $1,000 checks to local agencies serving the community:

the Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center, Inc., which serves victims of domestic violence; Our Neighbors' Table, which feeds hungry people in the Merrimack Valley; and Amesbury Community Action, Inc., which aims to overcome poverty through education, training, advocacy, prevention and services to meet basic human needs.

The annual donation to local outreach consists of the proceeds from the church’s participation in the Amesbury Village of Church Fairs.
