The Office of the Bishop has issued the following pastoral announcement:

Dear Friends and Colleagues,
We are saddened to inform you of the death of the Rev. Stephen A. Fregeau in Stuart, Florida, on Jan. 8, 2024. Stephen served as assistant priest at All Saints’ Church in Whitman from 1986 until 1987, and as vicar at Trinity Church in
Rockland from 1987 until 1998. He also served as chaplain at Metropolitan State Hospital from 1983 until 1988.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 27, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke’s Church in Stuart, Florida.
A memorial service is also being planned at Trinity Church in Rockland. Details will be distributed when they become available.
May the soul of God’s faithful servant departed rest in peace and may light perpetual shine upon him.
