The Office of the Bishop has issued the following pastoral announcement:

Dear Friends and Colleagues,
We are saddened to inform you of the death of the Rev. Kenneth Garrett in New Bedford, Massachusetts, on April 14, 2024.
Ken served as minister in charge at All Saints Mission from 1957 until 1959, and as minister in charge at St. James’s, Groveland, from 1958 until 1959. He then served at Grace Church in New Bedford, first as associate rector from 1959 until 1988, then priest-in-charge from 1988 until 1991, and finally as rector, from 1991 until his retirement in 1992.
Visiting hours will be held Friday, April 19, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Saunders-Dwyer Funeral Home, 50 County Road, Mattapoisett, Massachusetts. The funeral mass will be Saturday, April 20, at 9:00 a.m. at Grace Church, 133 School Street, New Bedford, Massachusetts. Clergy are invited to vest (white stoles).
May the soul of God’s faithful servant departed rest in peace and may light perpetual shine upon him.
