South Coast Mission Hub

Mission Statement

The South Coast Mission Hub is a collaboration of churches throughout the South Coast region of Massachusetts that are engaged in building community and developing mission initiatives which span across church walls and city boundaries.

1. Life Together—South Coast

Life Together—South Coast is a 10-month fellowship and leadership development project that matches young leaders (21-32 years of age) with mission-based nonprofit organizations and churches. In addition to their social justice work, Life Together fellows live in intentional community, participate in monthly leadership development trainings and deepen their spiritual walk through weekly prayer meetings and spiritual reflections. Life Together—South Coast is an affiliate program of Life Together and a part of the Episcopal Service Corps.

2. Project Discovery

Project Discovery is an afterschool program for second and third graders and focuses on experiential, project-based learning. The goal of Project Discovery is to create learning opportunities for children through the use of creative projects that encourage children to think differently and express themselves. Project Discovery is housed at St. Andrew’s Church in New Bedford and has plans to expand into a summer program.
