The objective of the Congregational Development Grant (CDG) program is to support and encourage congregational vitality through assisting congregations in the implementation of our Diocesan Mission - Growing Congregations in Mission. The CDG Program exists to challenge and to support all of our congregations as they prayerfully reflect on current and proposed programs that deepen and strengthen congregational life.

The Massachusetts Scholarship for African Students in America (MSASA) is a joint program of the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts and the Episcopal Divinity School. The purpose of the MSASA grant is to provide funds for two consecutive years of post-graduate theological education in the master of arts degree program at the Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge for an ordained lay man or woman from Africa. read more »

The Boston Episcopal Charitable Society, established in 1724 by charter from the king of England, provides supplemental financial assistance to individuals in Episcopal congregations throughout the greater Boston area and beyond through their parish priests.
The society provides one-time grants to help needy individuals pay rent, heat, utility bills, down payments on apartments - basically to help get them back on their feet. Each quarter, eighteen grants are given in amounts up to $2,000; in 2006, the society distributed over $123,000. read more »
The Episcopal City Mission (ECM), an affiliated organization of the Diocese, works for social and economic justice in Massachusetts with particular emphasis on the urban poor. Using a theological context, ECM explores issues such as housing, community economic development, youth and education, and criminal justice in a theological context and realizes its mission through grant-making, socially responsible investment, and advocacy. read more »
The United Thank Offering (UTO) grant program, established by the women of the Episcopal Church in 1889, funds projects which "address compelling human needs and/or expand mission and ministry." The projects must also receive support from an Episcopal or Anglican organization.
